About Kris Girrell
My Background
I have loved writing since I was a kid, in fact throughout college and grad schools I would often convince professors to assign an essay or paper instead of taking tests!
Naturally, after years of consulting I wanted to share my lessons learned (even the hard-won lessons) into books. But prior to becoming a full-time writer, I was a consultant specializing in Leadership Development and Emotional Intelligence.
My career took me around the world working with some of the top industries in nearly every field. With degrees in psychology, counseling, and theological research, I have been able to coach and consult with executives and senior leaders across four different continents.
I have been the practice lead in local and national consulting firms, and Senior Executive in several others. Currently I sit on the Boards of two not-for-profit charities and mentor a few other coaches in my spare time!
